Hi! My name is Alec Friedman, and I am a young man bursting with passion for the world of audio. Being efficient with Pro Tools, I have harnessed the power of crafting and shaping sounds recorded with a microphone or not. Everything has a sound, whether it be a fictional creature or futuristic hovercraft. Nothing is too far out of reach. My role is bringing these things to life, and I genuinely enjoy the process.

 

Growing up in Agoura Hills, my curious nature led me to explore the intricacies of audio for motion pictures. Enchanted by the seamless integration of sound into storytelling, I found myself captivated by the power of audio to evoke emotions and enhance visual narratives.

 

Fast forward to my time at the Los Angeles Film School, where I graduate in February. While I might not have a ton of work experience just yet, my journey has been all about diving into the world of audio editing and sound design, especially for motion pictures and interactive media. It's like this exciting puzzle—figuring out how to make every sound just right to enhance the whole cinematic experience.

 

Apart from the academic and audio scene, I'm a total video game nerd. But do not worry, every game I play I change the settings to make the SFX just a little louder than everything else. There’s something about the immersive worlds of gaming that gets me every time. And you know what? That passion feeds into my dream of crafting audio experiences for interactive media.

 

Sure, I'm not some bigshot in the industry (not yet at least!), but I'm working on it. I've got this vision of being that person who shapes the way we hear stories on screen and in games. It's a journey, and I'm taking it one step at a time. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me.
